Typical AU tutor split: 55–65% for casual contractors. Go lower (<55%) and you'll struggle to attract good tutors; go higher (>70%) and your margin won't cover admin, software, or your own time.

Employee vs contractor: If a tutor works exclusively for you, has set hours, or uses your equipment, the ATO may treat them as an employee — super and PAYG obligations apply. Ask your accountant if you're unsure.
