Features

Run the business — and prove students are learning

The operations you'd expect from an ops tool, plus the built-in learning platform no ops tool has. Explore each part of the platform.

Who these features are for

ClassQuill is built for tutoring company owners, centre managers and independent tutors who are running lessons, invoices and parent updates across separate tools. Every feature here is part of one platform, so a lesson you schedule is the same lesson you teach, invoice and report on. For the Australian view of the category, start with our tutor management software overview for Australia.

What each feature area covers

  • The learning platform gives tutors a curriculum-aligned question bank, classrooms and groups, tutor-set homework and timed exam mode.
  • AI marking marks typed, handwritten or photographed working step by step, carrying earlier errors forward so one wrong number does not cost a student the later parts.
  • The live classroom puts video, a whiteboard and automatic lesson notes in one session, online or in person.
  • The whiteboard is a live, multi-page board built into lessons, homework and questions.
  • Scheduling gives every tutor one shared calendar, automatic reminders, real availability and a public booking link.
  • Billing, invoicing and payroll drafts invoices when sessions complete, keeps one register of what is paid, and exports tutor payroll as a bank file.
  • Progress reporting shows topic mastery, a map of each student's gaps, centre-wide insights and parent-ready reports.
  • Tutor onboarding and compliance gates tutors on your requirements, tracks WWCC expiry, records training sign-off and collects e-signed contracts.
  • Messaging replaces scattered group chats with one inbox for owners, tutors, students and parents.
  • Client acquisition gives you a lead form to embed on your website and one pipeline to track enquiries and convert them.
  • Reviews collects private feedback after each lesson and lets you publish the ones families agree to share, with a blog on your own domain.
  • White label puts your logo, colour and own address on the platform so it looks like your business.

How the pieces fit together

Think of it as one workflow rather than twelve tools. A family enquires through your lead form and you convert them to a student. You schedule lessons on the shared calendar and the tutor teaches in the live classroom, with homework set from the question bank. When the session is complete, an invoice is drafted and the tutor's pay is worked out from the lessons they taught. The same sessions and homework feed the student's progress report, which parents can read in their own login. You enter each fact once and it is reused wherever it is needed.

That is the difference from running a scheduler, an invoicing app and a learning tool side by side: nothing has to be copied between them. See what it costs on the pricing page, or book a demo and we will walk through it with your own setup in mind.

Features: common questions

What does ClassQuill do that a scheduling and invoicing tool does not?

ClassQuill runs the business and the teaching in the same place. Alongside scheduling, invoicing and payroll, it has a built-in learning platform: a curriculum-aligned question bank, tutor-set homework, timed exam mode and marking. That means progress reports are drawn from real sessions and homework rather than typed up by hand.

Can one tutor or one centre use only some of the features?

Yes. Each feature area stands on its own page and you can start with the ones that fix your biggest problem, for example scheduling and billing, then bring in the learning platform when your tutors are ready for it.

How do scheduling, billing and progress reporting connect?

A completed session drives an invoice draft and the tutor's payroll, and the same session and its homework feed the student's progress report. You enter the lesson once and it shows up in each place.

Is there video and a whiteboard built in?

Yes. Video calls and a live whiteboard are part of the live classroom, so you do not need a separate meeting link or whiteboard subscription. In-person lessons get the same written lesson summary as online ones.

Does ClassQuill handle tutor compliance such as WWCC?

Yes. The tutor onboarding and compliance feature gates tutors on the requirements you set, tracks Working With Children Check expiry dates, records training sign-off and supports e-signed contracts.

Where can I see how much it costs?

The pricing page lists the plans. If you want to see the features working on your own setup first, book a demo.
