Adding a TMS to Lessonspace

Have Lessonspace but no way to run the business? Add ClassQuill

Lessonspace is a genuinely strong virtual classroom — an infinite whiteboard, built-in video and subject tools for maths, science and languages. It's built to bolt onto a TMS (its own integrations list TutorCruncher and Teachworks), because on its own it has no scheduling, invoicing, tutor payroll or parent portal. ClassQuill adds that whole business layer — and already includes its own built-in video and live whiteboard, so there's nothing to bolt on.

Why tutoring businesses move

Lessonspace is a virtual-classroom platform, not a business one — no scheduling-as-CRM, no invoicing, no tutor payroll, no parent portal. It's designed to embed into a TMS like TutorCruncher or Teachworks via its API. Centres reach for a real TMS once the lesson side is solved but bookings, invoices, paying tutors and proving progress still aren't.

How the switch works

1

Bring your student list across

Lessonspace doesn't hold scheduling, billing or student-management data — there's nothing to export from that side. Bring across whatever student list you're already keeping, however you currently track it.

2

We help you import

Send us your export and we'll help bring your students, contacts and schedule into ClassQuill — you're not re-keying a spreadsheet by hand.

3

Run both in parallel

Keep your old tool live while you get comfortable. Move real sessions across at your own pace — there's no big-bang cutover that risks a billing run.

4

Go live when you're ready

Once billing and scheduling are running cleanly in ClassQuill, switch off the old tool. Your families barely notice — they just start getting clearer updates.

Switching from Lessonspace — common questions

Do I lose my Lessonspace session history?

Lessonspace doesn't hold the scheduling, billing or student records a TMS needs, so there's nothing operational to migrate from it — you bring your student list across and everything from there (bookings, invoices, payroll) runs in ClassQuill from day one.

Do I have to give up my whiteboard and video?

No — ClassQuill has its own built-in video and live whiteboard in every session, with a maths-teacher stencil library included, so you're not losing the classroom, just adding the business layer around it. Run both in parallel during the switch if you want the reassurance.

What does ClassQuill add over Lessonspace?

Scheduling, automated invoicing, Xero sync, tutor payroll via Stripe Connect, AU rails (PayID, GST, Basiq), and a curriculum-aligned learning platform with auto-marked homework — none of which Lessonspace offers.
